Rita first opened Washday Launderette and built its fantastic local reputation through friendly service and exceptional care. Today, her daughter Sophie continues the family tradition. She brings the same personal approach and family values to every customer, old and new.
Sophie has worked at the launderette for around 20 years, building a wealth of knowledge and experience along the way. From everyday clothing and delicate garments to bedding, duvets and commercial laundry, there’s very little she doesn’t know about washing, drying and ironing.

Jane works alongside Sophie and is another familiar face at Washday Launderette. You’ll often find her welcoming customers in the shop or out on the road providing our collection and delivery service.
